Musikili Rugby and Netball Tournament

Our Under 11 Netball team will be traveling to Musikili for the annual Rugby/Netball festival. Acacia attended this event last year, and it was a great success.

Letters will be sent out to those involved on Wednesday 2nd May and permission slips must be returned to school by Thursday afternoon at the latest. Unfortunately, we are unable to take a Rugby team this time as the event is too early in the term to enable our team to prepare. Thank you to those parents' who supported the holiday training. We aim for increased participation next time.

For last year's trip, the school provided subsidised bus transport. However, it is not possible for us to provide subsidised transport going forward. Therefore, parents are required to provide transport for their children. If you cannot accompany your child, please arrange for them to travel with another family. If you have space in your vehicle, we kindly request that you let us know if you have spare seats for other children whose parents cannot make it. All vehicles should depart Acacia at 1100 on Friday 4th May.

Afternoon Activities - Sports and Clubs

Our afternoon sports this term are Hockey, Soccer, Rugby (boys) and Netball (girls). Clubs remain the same as last term, with the addition of Reading Club on Wednesdays.

Afternoon activities begin in Week 1 on Wednesday 2nd May and will run until the end of term (including the last week). Click here to view and download the afternoon activities timetable for your reference.

**Pick up times remain the same as last term.**

ELC Development is ongoing

It is a very exciting time for the Acacia Early Learning Center, following the visit of Early Excellence at the end of last term. It is taking us slightly longer than anticipated to source all the resources we are looking for to improve our areas. Rest assured that we are taking the time to make sure we make the very best use of our budget from the FOA, to source high quality resources that will engage and enthuse our children for many years to come.

To start the new term, we have given the outdoor play equipment and the Reception class a fresh coat of paint. Please bear with us and you will see lots of changes as the term goes on, and we will hold an Open Day later in the term. In the meantime, we encourage you to talk to your child's teacher about the improvements.

A big thank you to those parents who have donated and purchased items from our wish list. It is not too late to contribute. Please contact Mrs Young if you are interested in supporting the ELC development.

Thank yous

A huge thank you to all the members of the Acacia team and community who helped over the holidays.

Thanks to the teachers and parents involved in the very successful Grade 7 holiday Tuition and the holiday sports programmes.

A big thank you to those parents who have been helping with the ELC development and who have donated and purchased items from our wish list.
